Perth Glory were able to hold a strong Sydney FC side to a 0-0 draw in Perth. The result sees Perth side just 1 point from the foot of the table.
The match was fairly underwhelming with very few clear cut chances for either side.
The 34 degree heat surely took its toll of the level of football being played as both sides showed signs of fatigue.
In the 22nd minute the Glory had an opportunity through a long range effort from Josh Risdon, however it never truly looked like it would go in.
Sydney FC’s Matt Simon had the best opportunity of the match in the 68th minute but his close range header sailed just past the post.
The lacklustre performance is a fitting analogy for Perth’s season so far, some moments of class, but unable to follow up.
