Perth Glory have fallen at the hands of Melbourne Victory in the FFA Cup final at AAMI Park, going down 2-0.
In a match of two halves, Melbourne opened the scoring 35 minutes in and doubled the lead just 7 minutes later to go into the break 2-0 ahead.
Melbourne Victory appeared to be cruising at home in front of a disappointing crowd of only 15,000. Perth has had to struggle with only having a single home game of the whole competition and were forced to fight from behind in the final.
Despite this, Perth started the second half brightly. Perth dominated the half and had the better of the chances. This culminated in Valeri being sent off for a second yellow with eight minutes left in the game.
Perth were unable to break the Victory defence and were left to be the runners up in the competition for the second year in a row.
