Richard Garcia has been named as Perth Glory’s captain for the 2015/2016 season.
The former Hull City and West Ham United player only signed for the Glory a year ago but has already made an extensive impact during his time with the club.
Garcia has described wearing the Glory armband as having a “badge of honour”.
It is thought that Garcia’s experience within the Premier League and with the Socceroos will help him move the Glory side forward from previous year’s failings.
Garcia began his career at the West Ham United academy, before moving on to the first team. His career has spanned over many clubs such as Hull City, Leyton Orient, Colchester United, Melbourne Heart, Sydney FC and Minnesota United.
