Danny De Silva’s “dream” move to Roma has taken a U-turn and De Silva will now be moving to Roda JC Kerkrade on loan for two seasons.
The 18-year-old will join former glory midfielder Rostyn Griffiths at the new club.
De Silva is one of Australia’s brightest young talents and is currently on the cusp of making it into the Socceroos line-up.
When De Silva returns he will be out of contract at the Glory and will be most likely looking elsewhere.
It is reported that the club will still receive the same fee for De Silva as the original Roma deal. Roda also has an option to purchase De Silva at the end of the contract.
The original Roma deal has reportedly fallen through due to the fact that Roma missed its first payment for the youngster.
