Perth Glory has announced the signing of Dutch striker Guyon Fernandez. The deal is subject to the successful completion of a medical.
Glory officials will be hoping that Fernandez can fill the gap left by the departed Andy Keogh who was an instant hit with the Perth faithful.
Fernandez has spent much of his career plying his trade in the Eredivisie, which is the Netherlands top football division.
The 29-year old has proven to be quite a strong striker, managing to score consistently at every club he has been to. Fernandez also had a spell at Feyenoord which saw him only play 28 games and score seven goals due to a number of bans.
With the new season quickly approaching, Perth will be hoping to get Fernandez into the squad and training as soon as possible, with the striker looking to meet up with the team in the coming month.
