Perth Glory have secured the services of Asian Champions League winner, Ante Covic. The 40 year old stated that he "still has a lot to give back to the game". Perth coach, Kenny Lowe stated that he feels that Covic will help the squad as a whole and especially help with the development of Jordon Thurtell and Jerrad Tyson.
With the new Glory squad is beginning to take shape and it appears a bit of a 'discount Western Sydney Wanderers' side with Covic linking up with former teammates Jerrad Tyson and Antony Golec.
Much discussion has been had with the signing of Covic as it appears to show Perth's desperation. Signing a goalkeeper that has had many successes throughout their career is often seen as a positive but it appears that Covic may have seen better days and at the ripe old age of 40, it is hard to argue with this.
Perth fans can only hope that the side begins to make some high quality signings soon otherwise the 2015-2016 season will be yet another disappointing one. If this is the case, it is hard to see Perth retaining their already disgruntled fans.
