Heading into the final round of the A-League, Perth are currently sitting in 3rd position on the table but will finish the season 7th due to the salary cap scandal.
While the Glory are sitting just 3 points behind Melbourne Victory in 1st and it is mathematically possible for the boys from the west to pick up first spot before being relegated to seventh, it is highly unlikely due to goal difference.
Nonetheless, the Glory will be seeking to end the season with a win over the second last Western Sydney Wanderers. For Perth to end the season in a position where there are equal best in the league could inspire a promising 2015/2016 season.
For some Perth fans however the end of the season cannot come fast enough with some fans even calling for Tony Sage to step down. This is due to the fact that many believe Sage to have known and possibly spearheaded many of the breaches with payments allegedly coming out of his many businesses.
If Sage was to walk away, Perth would not be left in purgatory with former Perth Chief Nick Tana throwing his name in the ring for possible replacements. As a devoted Glory fan who still attends all games, Tana could be the shock that Glory fans need to get back behind the team.
It appears many disgruntled fans may get their way as the only seemingly possible way for the club to regain its credibility is to rebuild the club from the ground up.
This off season will, without a doubt, be a very interesting one for everyone involved with Perth Glory.
For now, eyes turn to Pirtek Stadium to see if the Glory can get the three points and end the season on a high before we seemingly say goodbye to a large number of players and staff.
