Glory-less streak continues

  • Glory-less streak continues

A Roy Krishna brace has seen Perth slip to yet another defeat, this time to the hands on Wellington Phoenix, in what is turning out to be a horror 2015 for the boys from the west. The 2-1 defeat to the Phoenix means that the Glory are still without a win since January 2nd against Melbourne Victory. Having only won the one game in 2015 has seen Perth slip from first down to fourth and are beginning to lose sight of the top spot they had become so accustomed to. The win for Wellington has seen them leapfrog the Glory into first place and without the two teams facing again in the regular season it would be a huge task for the Glory to chase them down now. Kenny Lowe remains optimistic however, stating "There are more twists and turns to come".

The Glory will aim to collect all three points on March 22nd against the Central Coast Mariners when the two sides clash in Gosford.†A poor result here could spell the end for the Gloryís hopes of achieving first place and getting their hands on the premierís plate.
