Young Perth Glory midfielder Daniel De Silva is reportedly on the verge of signing for Italian club AS Roma.
Fairfax Media reports that a deal will soon be completed, with Roma potentially paying an Australian record $2.5 million to secure De Silva’s services.
De Silva has apparently already agreed personal terms with the Serie A team.
The deal will feature an initial payment of over $500,000, with additional fees coming in the form of appearance clauses and performance-based incentives.
Are Glory right to take the money for De Silva?
Would he be better served by continuing to develop in the Glory first team?
