Comments from Perth Glory CEO Jason Brewer have suggested that the club is considering an approach for former Socceroos coach Graham Arnold.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Brewer said “it would be remiss of us not to consider it, given his coaching record and the success he brought to the Mariners.”
Arnold had only recently taken up the manager’s role at Japanese club Vegalta Sendai, but his new team had struggled during his early matches in charge, and club and coach have now parted company.
The sacking seems to have had no impact on his standing among A-League clubs however, as Sydney FC and the Newcastle Jets are also reported to be interested in securing Arnold’s services.
Arnold has certainly shown he has what it takes to manage at the highest level in Australia, having guided Central Coast Mariners to both the A-League Premiership and Championship in recent years.
Would you be happy to see Arnold at Glory?
