Perth Glory recorded a 2-1 victory over the Newcastle Jets, breaking a lengthy winless period.

When Adam Taggart opened the scoring just after the hour, it looked like Glory would be consigned to another defeat.

But with the prospect of the dreaded wooden spoon looming, Perth were able to record an inspiring comeback.

The win will prove a real relief for Kenny Lowe, who will now hope to push on and avoid the wooden spoon, having overcome this barren run.
